Alexis Dudden

Alexis Dudden is a Professor of History at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Dudden holds a BA (magna cum laude) from Columbia University, and MA and PhD degrees from the University of Chicago. She is the author of several books and academic articles on Japan and Korea, and she is currently writing a book about Japan’s territorial disputes and the changing meaning of islands in international law.

The mission of the Southeast Connecticut World Affairs Council (SECWAC) is to foster an understanding of issues of foreign policy and international affairs by study, debate, and educational programming, primarily through a Speakers Series of 8 to 10 monthly meetings.
