Join us Wednesday, February 23, 2022, for a presentation by Karolin Machtans titled, “The Representation of Asylum Interviews in Contemporary Literature & Film of Refuge,” part of our 2021-22 speaker series.

Machtans is an Associate Professor of German Studies at Connecticut College. Machtans’s main research and teaching interests are 20th- and 21st-century German literature and film, post-1945 German history and culture, German-Turkish relations; Muslims in Germany; minorities in Germany; Holocaust studies, and literary theory.
