Join us Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Connecticut College for a presentation by Karolin Machtans titled, “The Refugee Crisis in Europe: The Case of Germany.” A reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation starting at 6:00 p.m.

Machtans is an Associate Professor of German Studies at Connecticut College. Machtans’s main research and teaching interests are 20th- and 21st-century German literature and film, post-1945 German history and culture, German-Turkish relations; Muslims in Germany; minorities in Germany; Holocaust studies and literary theory.
