Professor Beinart will outline his thoughts on key foreign policy issues that await President-elect Biden, including that China will likely dominate his term as president and that he will attempt to return to the Iran deal.  In the former, there is a tension between his desire to be tougher than Obama and the need for cooperation on climate change, while the latter will likely produce a huge fight with Republicans, Israel, and the Gulf States. One area where Biden feels he can make progress is with an aid package for Central America.
